Use those leftover shards of pasta to make Minestrone soup
from Caroline Walker
Minestrone soup made with whatever pasta is left in bags or jars, tins of tomatoes, tinned or pre- soaked beans and any veg needing used up. All boiled up in a pot. How easy is that and a very fulfilling meal in itself! Liked by both meat eaters and veggies.
Leftover bagels
Craig from Glasgow
Leftover bagels can be used in anything that calls for leftover bread but are especially good placed under the tap, and shoved into the oven at 180 degrees for a coupleof minutes until crisp - serve with cream cheese and any leftover salad
Use up your leftover Tortilla chips and dip
Melanie from Westcliff-on-Sea
I had two(!) open bags with just a few tortilla chips slowly going soft in them. They were never going to be eaten, so I chopped up a yellow and a red pepper, a hot chili, a garlic clove and a red onion and softened them in the frying pan, stirred in a tin of black beans, some cumin and the uneaten hot dip for tortilla chips. Mixed all this with a chopped avocado, grated cheese (from the freezer) and the floppy tortilla chips and transferred it into an ovenproof dish. Popped it into the oven (190°C) for 15 minutes and it was really, really yummy. Recommend it
