Map out your meals
from Louise Rowley-Spendlove
Every 3 months I clean out my cupboards and bring anything with a fragile date to the front and same for the freezer. I even make a note of what’s in the freezer and in what drawer. But I have a huge piece of perspex in my kitchen on the wall and I map out the meals for the next month trying to use up as much stuff which needs using up as I can. Always a bag of breadcrumbs which can be pulled out and used to bread chicken, fish or make stuffing with. I also freeze some cheeses like parmagano which is expensive but freezes great. Always have a bag of ragu in the freezer. This can be used as a basis of a lot of Italian meals spag bol, lasagna.
